Allahu Akbar

I just saw a video of a rebel Muslim group here in Mindanao beheading 3 adolescents while shoiting &/or chanting Allahu Akbar. They are either killing in the name of their religion Islam (religion of peace as they say) or is justifying their killing as for their Allah or God in Arabic.



What kind of God are they pledging their allegiance to? As a Christian we have to take into consideration what Jesus says in the Bible before we go further:
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you [Matthew 5:44]

Onward we proceed. Maybe what they believe in is not God based on the noblest human definition that God is love (1 John 4:8) or is a different God which defeats the definition of a God as ultimate & ONE "uncaused cause" & "ultimate GOOD". Between this we would have no other logical choice but to conclude that it is the former that it is not God at all.

They (Muslims) often object as there are many christian personalities who have committed atrocities in the past. The difference would be that when Christians commit violence often than not it is because of the defect of the person himself/herself & religion has no bearing anyhow it is a common knowledge that the only religion that teaches "love your neighbors" (which includes living ones enemies) is Christianity.

While on the other hand many will ask what about the crusades? The plausible answer would be that it was just a last act of self-defense by the Christians of the past to protect Christian sites & cities since IN THE 1ST PLACE Islam was inciting & conquering the world.

Compare this to Islam. It openly exhorts killing of unbelievers (especially the Jews). In fact, Hitler had a companion by the name of Haj Mohammed Effendi Amin el-Husseini most commonly called Hitler's Imam [Wikipedia as taken from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haj_Amin_al-Husseini]. Why is this? Simple, their Holy Book the Koran promotes it no wonder. Examples:

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe. (Sura 8:55)

O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty. (Sura 9:123)

Christians are blasphemers (Sura 5:17, Sura 5:73) who have invented a lie about Allah (Sura 10:68-69) by ascribing partners to Allah (ie. the Trinity). Inventing a lie about Allah is the worst of sins (Sura 7:37, Sura 29:68) and for this reason Christians are condemned to Hell (Sura 10:70)

Sura 9:123 “murder them and treat them harshly”

The question then & objection by Muslims would be that there are also seemingly hate verses in the Bible or instances of murder (notice that this argument is an indirect acceptance that indeed Koran promotes violence). A sensible answer would be that that's where hermeneutics come or the the proper interpretation of the Bible. In the Koran, they revere it as the ULTIMATE guide or words here come directly from Allah that's why everything is literal & there is no room for interpretation.

These are short attempts to unveil this particular belief system. Its up to everyone else to judge for themselves & to search. Let pure logic win over biases & prejudices.
